First Impressions!!

HEY!! :). Its Bambo!!! Today I am going to be talking about, wait for it, FIRST IMPRESSIONS!! When you actually go to college, it is important that you make a good first impression. So today I am going to give you some advice about how to make a good impression.

Tip number 1: When you see someone new SMILE.

When you get to college and you are meeting new people, smile to someone you do not know. This will get you noticed and you will be known as a nice person. By doing this you will make friends in no time.

Tip number 2: Come into school with a positive attitude.

When you go into school happy, people would want to talk to you because you look like someone they can talk to. when you look angry, no one would want to talk to you because you look like a negative person. So which one do you think is better? Positive or negative attitude? Imma let you decide for yourself.

ANYWAY, remember to always have a positive attitude because a smile to someone at school could take you really far.

Byyyeee!!! Imma be talking to you sometime. LOL :) !!

Qualifications!!!!! :)

HEY!! IT'S BAMBO!! Hey again, Bambo here giving you all the advice you need about post 16. Today I'm going to be talking how to prepare for work. You might be thinking  " work why work?" Work has a lot to do with the GCSE's you got at school. Today (like i said before) I am going to help you prepare for work. (YAY MORE TIPS!!!)

Tip number 1: Qualifications

In some jobs like banking, you will do an end of unit exam. It depends on what mark you got on the exam, to tell you exam you will be doing because in banking you do more than one exam. So what I am saying is pick a coarse that you will be good at.

Tip number 2: What type of learning do you want to do?

I am going to tell you about foundation learning. If you are interested in health and beauty, fashion design, art, music and drama, foundation learning would be good for you. You don't have to do foundation learning, REMEMBER, it is just an option. If you decide that you want a job while at college, foundation learning would be best because it would be easier to balance out school and work. This is so that it can fit into your schedule.

Again, this is a lot to take in for one day! I think you know what i am going  to say " don't worry about it". Byeee!!! TTYL :)

Apprenticiships!!! :)

IT'S BAMBO!!!!!  This is my 3 BLOG!!  I cant belive it!!! LETS GET BACK TO BUSINESS. So today I am going to give you advice about APPRENTICESHIPS!! Apprenticeships allow you to go to school and train at the same time. today I am going to blog about different types of apprenticeships.

Advanced Apprenticships

For this apprenticships you will need at least 4/5 GCSE's. Your 4/5  GCSE's need to be a grade C or above. during your apprenticeships, you will work towards a NVQ. If you are thinking "What is an NVQ?" An NVQ is a type of qualification which stands for National Vocational Qualification. You will be working towards a level 3 and other qualifications as part of your training.

Apprenticships

On this one, there are no ENTRY REQUIRMENTS. All you will be asked to do is sit an exam to see if you are able to do the apprenticships. Like the advanced apprenticships, you will be working towards an NVQ but only to a level 2. Apprenticiships are offered from employers and they decide who they who they train. A training provider will guide you and make sure you get the right training at college and at work.

I know this is alot to take in, but there is really nothing to worry about. Last year I got an apprenticiship at a fashion company. It was such a great expirance and i learnt alot about working. Again, there is nothing to be afraid of. And like i always say "dont worry about it".  Think about everything that i have told you.

Byeeeeeee!!!! see ya! :)

P.S: This video is about creative apprenticships!!!  I dont want to give it away!!! Enjoy!!

START FRESH, START ANEW!!!!

HEY AGAIN!!!! its Bambo here giving you all the advice you need about post 16. Today I am going to be blogging about THE APPLICATION PROCESS! DUN, DUN, DUNN!!! Like I always say 'dont worry about it', I am always blogging to help YOU! now here are a few things you should know. (YAY TIPS).

Tip number 1: Fill in the application form.

To be honest, this is the easiest tip that I could ever give you. Think about it, all you are doing is filling in an application form. There is nothing to worry about, just show that you have good qualities and you are bound to get noticed. so when you fill in the application, be calm cool and collected. Oh and remember, JUST RELAX!!!

Tip number 2: Send it.

To me, filling in applications online is SOOOO  simple because after I have finished filling it in, I click 'send'. This technique made me feel like I have done it and they are processing my application. sending the form through the post would just make you more nervous.

You can make this process SOOO much easier for yourself. So again I say 'dont worry about it', all you have to do is STAY CALM!!!

Byeeeee.

Believe.....Achieve......INSPIRE!!!!!!

GOOOD MORNING AND HAPPPY NEW YEAR, POST 16 READERS!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, my name is Bambo, I,am 17 years old and I go to a college called St Francis Xavier. I am SOOOOO excited about my first blog entry. Now let me set the scene : you walk into Christ The King school gate terrified and nervous. You see other 16 year olds looking around the school like you are going to do. Do you know what I am talking about? If your answer is yes, then you are CORRECT!!! I am talking about the INFAMOUS open day and I am here to say "don't worry about it". Everyone gets scared at some point in their life. This is your lucky day because i am blogging to give you some tips.  :)

Tip Number 1: Show your confidence!!!

Confidence is very important because if you show your frightened people will try and make you a nervous wreak!! You just need to tell yourself  "I am the best that I can be and no one can tell me otherwise". Are like Rachel berry from glee who is an outcast because she thinks she is the best. Then the advice I am going to give you would really help you because I will give you advice on how to be confident just not cocky. If you have little confidence try to build it up by telling yourself something that you like about yourself. By the time you know it, you will be a very confident person.( NOT COCKY!!!)

Tip Number 2: Keep your head held high!!!

Everyone gets knocked down in life. When you do, you just have to grow from it. College is a big step from secondary school, because at college, you are treated more like an adult. When I first got to college, it scared the life out of me and i don't want you to have experiences like I did. so I say keep your held held high because I know you are a great person and I know you can achieve a lot at college. The door to college is right there and it is waiting for you to enter!!

Just remember there is nothing to be afraid of. like I always say "don't worry about it"

byeeeeeee ;) :)

(P.S: you will get used to me saying "don't worry about it")
